After upgrading its Inspiron, XPS, 2-in-1 and Vostro series with Alexa support earlier this year, Dell has now announced the latest addition to its flagship Inspiron series – the new Inspiron 5480 and Inspiron 5580. The new range of notebooks are powered by the latest Whiskey Lake 8th Generation Intel Core processors which are coupled with a full HD anti-glare IPS display and Dell Cinema software. The new Dell Inspiron 5000-series notebooks will be available for a starting price of Rs 36,990.
The new Inspiron notebooks come with a Full HD Display anti-glare IPS display that has a Resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. The Inspiron 5480 and Inspiron 5580 take some inspiration from Dell XPS laptops and feature a bezel-less profile with narrow borders. A 3-sided narrow border is available on 14-inch models while there’s a 2-sided narrow border on the 15-inch version.
The Inspiron 5480 and Inspiron 5580 can both be configured with Intel’s 8th generation Whiskey Lake processors and users can choose from Core i3, i5 or i7 variants. The notebooks will be available with up to 32GB of DDR4 memory and a variety of storage options including PCIe NVMe SSDs and dual drive options.
The smaller 14-inch model also equips a miniaturised 4-element lens webcam which offers video recording and utilises Temporal Noise Reduction for boosting the image quality in low light conditions. The new Inspiron variants have a starting weight of 1.48 kilograms and come with a metal finish available in fancy new colours.

The new Dell Inspiron 5480 and Inspiron 5580 will be available in Platinum Silver, Burgundy, and Ink colours for starting price of Rs 36,990 and Rs 37,990 respectively.
