CES 2019: Lenovo refreshes its Yoga series laptops, AiOs, Yoga Mouse

The Yoga A940 all-in-one desktop is built for digital content creators. The device features a large 27-inch optional 4K IPS touchscreen wide-angle display with Dolby Vision and runs on Windows 10 operating system. It features a rotating hinge that enables the display to tilt to a comfortable 25-degree drafting mode.

After launching its ThinkPad and Legion range of notebooks at the CES 2019 event in Las Vegas, Lenovo has now refreshed its Yoga lineup. The new Lenovo Yoga series includes the Yoga S940 ultrabook, Yoga A940 AiO, Yoga C730 laptop with AMOLED and Yoga Mouse with Laser Presenter, most of which will go on sale during April-May 2019.

The new Yoga A940 all-in-one desktop is built for digital content creators. The device features a large 27-inch optional IPS touchscreen display with Dolby Vision and runs on Windows 10 operating system. It features a rotating hinge that enables the display to tilt to a comfortable 25-degree drafting mode, for remarkable flexibility and stability when drawing, sketching or annotating with a digital pen.

The Yoga A940 comes with a Lenovo Precision Dial which is essentially a controller that helps designers, photographers and videographers with precise selections and adjustments to their content. The dial can be placed on either the left or right side of the Yoga A940 since it plugs to a drive on either side. The dial is currently optimised for Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom 8 and Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and allows users to select or adjust features like brush stroke, tip size, opacity and flow rate all through a single hand.

The Yoga A940 all-in-one desktop comes with built-in front-facing speakers and a second set of speakers under the rotating display. This ensures a rich sound experience no matter on which angle the AiO rests in. The machine is powered by Dolby Atmos Speaker System and features Smart Assist AI-enabled features for greater productivity and privacy.

Lastly, the Yoga AIO is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors with AMD® Radeon RX 560 discrete graphics, up to 32GB DDR4 memory and up to 512GB PCIe SSD or up to 2TB SATA HDD storage.

The Lenovo Yoga A940 will start at $2,349.99 (approx. Rs 1,65,450) and is expected to be available from April 2019.

Lenovo Yoga S940 ultra-slim laptop

The Yoga S940 ultra-slim laptop features a 15-inch optional 4K HDR display with up to 500 nits peak brightness and Dolby Vision support. The laptop measures in at 12.2mm at its thickest side and weighs in at 1.2 kgs. The Yoga ultrabook is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core processor with up to 16GB LPDDR3 memory and up to 1TB PCIe SSD storage and runs on Windows 10. The Yoga S940 is the world’s first laptop with Contour Glass that wraps around its bezels.

Besides the internals, the Yoga S940 comes with features that filter out most ambient noise and blur out distracting backgrounds during video calls. The inbuilt AI-powered can detect your absence and auto-lock the display to protect your data from unwanted eyes. The ultrabook equips Glance by Mirametrix® AI-powered attention-sensing software including face, eyes and gaze-sensing that can help increase productivity.

Additionally, Lenovo Smart Assist includes hands-free PC log-in through its built-in (IR) camera and Windows Hello for an added layer of security and convenience, and voice-matching personalisation to respond to your voice when speaking to Amazon Alexa or Microsoft Cortana. The included AI also helps auto-adjust power settings for longer-lasting power and Lenovo says the same will boost the battery life of the notebook to up to 15 hours on a single charge.

The Lenovo Yoga S940 will start at $1,499.99 (approx. Rs 1,05,600) and is expected to be available from May 2019.

The Yoga C730 features a 15-inch 4K on a 2-in-1 convertible form factor. The Yoga C730 equips an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, Windows Ink for digital pen input, Windows Hello for instant log-in, and the smart convenience of and Alexa. The laptop packs in JBL speakers and support for Dolby Atmos, which delivers immersive audio over any pair of compatible headphones.

The 15-inch Lenovo Yoga C730 with AMOLED is expected to be available from March 2019.

The latest generation of Yoga Mouse comes with 1,600 DPI for high-precision tracking. The Lenovo Yoga Mouse also equips two accessories into one and thus features a fully functional Laser Presenter for official use and meetings.

The Lenovo Yoga Mouse with Laser Presenter will start at $69.99 (approx. Rs 4,900) and is expected to be made available from June 2019.
