CES 2018: Dell introduces new laptops, monitors and portable Thunderbolt 3 SSDs

The list includes the Dell XPS 13 and XPS 15 2-in-1 laptops, Dell 27 Ultrathin(S2719DM) and Dell 24 Ultrathin(S2419HM) monitors, Dell Portable Thunderbolt 3 SSD in 500GB and 1TB

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2018, Dell is unveiled new products. The list includes the Dell XPS 13 and XPS 15 2-in-1 laptops, Dell 27 Ultrathin(S2719DM) and Dell 24 Ultrathin(S2419HM) monitors and the Dell Portable Thunderbolt 3 SSD in 500GB/1TB storage.

The Dell XPS 13 is available on Dell’s official website at a starting price tag of Rs $999(approx Rs 63,688), while the XPS 15 2-in-1 will be available starting from April later this year at $1,299(approx Rs 82,830). Other than this, the Dell 24 and Dell 27 Ultrathin Monitor will sell globally from Jan. 30 on Dell.com starting at $299.9(approx Rs 19,062) and $499(approx Rs 31,816) respectively. Further, the Portable Thunderbolt 3 SSD in 500GB will be priced at $439(approx Rs 27,990) and 1TB for $799(approx Rs 50,944) after Feb. 28 on company’s website.

Starting with the Dell’s XPS portfolio, the company promises to improve the latest XPS 13 in every conceivable way, while Dell unveils the first XPS 15 2-in-1, and claims it the world’s most powerful 15.6-inch touch display 2-in-1. The devices spot an InfinityEdge Ultra HD display with vivid colour and cinematic immersion in an impossibly slim 16mm form, which is protected by 4.

The XPS 15 comes with a while features the 8th Gen Intel Core with Radeon RX Vega M graphics. The laptops come with the Dell Power Manager, which delivers power just when you need it, while GORE Thermal Insulation, the same silica aerogels used in the Mars Rover to diffuse and dissipate heat, introduces an innovative material into the thermal design to keep the system cool while it works hard.

Dell has also introduced the 27 Ultrathin Monitor (S2719DM) and Dell 24 Ultrathin Monitor (S2419HM), which claims to offer vivid colour, supports HDR-content playback for a CinemaColor experience and clarity. The devices come with a virtually borderless InfinityEdge display, with a sleek profile of only 5.5mm at its thinnest, and deliver peak brightness of 600 nits.

Other than this, Dell has also introduced a compact Thunderbolt 3 storage device, which promised to be the fastest portable drives available, the Dell Portable Thunderbolt SSD 1000 (1TB) and SSD 500 (500GB).
