BookMyShow confirmed this news with a Tweet that reads, “We will use this chat to send your ticket confirmation.”

BookMyShow has started using Business for WhatsApp feature in India. The company has a Green Badge next to the contact’s name on the platform. BookMyShow confirmed this news with a Tweet that reads, “We will use this chat to send your ticket confirmation.”

To recall, the Facebook-owned recently started rolling out Whatsapp For Business and in its FAQ post regarding the new update, the company said that user will be notified when they start texting to a business contact via a yellow tag message inside the chat. However, we found out that no such yellow tags present on the BookMyShow account. It is also said that there is no way to delete these messages from the business chat, still, we were able to achieve that task as well.

Whatsapp’s new feature is currently in testing, hence there are various tasks which are not operational currently. We even received a notification from BookMyShow, “Sorry, we are working towards listening to you here. In the meantime, please reach us at helpdesk@bookmyshow.com or call us on 02261445050.” This means that the feature is still in its early stages and we still need to wait for a while to know the exact implementation of the same.

For your reference, the new Whatsapp for Business will let businesses to set working hours to avoid odd hours calls, and if the user may call after the working hours they will receive an automatic generated away message managed by the business and in case the users no need to be contacted by the businesses they can easily block the business phone number to avoid any kind of disturbance.

If you already have business contact number saved in your phone book then the name you saved will be shown same as in the Whatsapp, but in case phone number is not saved then it will show the name business name which they have chosen themselves.
