Asus has today announced the launch of its two new Windows 10 laptops – VivoBook S15 (S530) and S14 (S430) for Rs 54990 and Rs 69990 respectively. VivoBook S15 (S530) will be available in all Asus exclusive stores from November 15th while the S14 (S430) will be exclusively available from November 1st on Flipkart.
Both the laptops come in five colour options – Icicle Gold, Firmament Green, Silver Blue, Star Grey, and Gun Metal. Furthermore, while Firmament Green features a textured woven finish surrounding the keyboard, Icicle Gold sports a brushed finish with diamond-inspired motifs.
VivoBook S15 and S14 are the first in the VivoBook Series to feature the new three-sided NanoEdge design that has even narrower bezels along the top and sides of the display. This gives S15 an 86% and S14 an 84% screen-to-body ratio. The panels also feature wide-view technology and exceptional colour reproduction for visuals even when viewed from extreme positions.
S15 and S14 further come with ErgoLift hinge to offer a more comfortable typing experience. The ErgoLift hinge automatically tilts keyboard by 3.5° and recreates the familiar feeling of a desktop computer. The hinge also provides extra ventilation space, enabling more airflow around the underside of the chassis for improved cooling. The 15.6-inch S15 weighs only 1.8kg, while the 14-inch S14 is of 1.4kg.
Both the laptops are powered by up to 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processors and NVIDIA GeForce MX150 discrete graphics for easy multitasking, multimedia editing, or casual gaming. S15 and S14 have a dual-storage design. Furthermore, ASUS Wi-Fi Master technology ensures uncompromising wireless connectivity, ensuring faster and more reliable Dual-Band 802.11ac Wi-Fi connections at extreme distances.
They come with an optional fingerprint sensor built into the touchpad. For connectivity, S15 and S14 have the reversible USB Type-C port. In addition, these laptops also feature USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A and USB 2.0 ports, HDMI output, and a microSD card reader for compatibility with current peripherals, displays, and projectors.
All VivoBooks now feature a high-quality battery with all-day battery life and a lifespan that’s up to 3X-longer than standard lithium-ion batteries. Fast-charge technology ensures up to 60% charge in 49 minutes. The pair is also supported by integrated ASUS Battery Health Charging technology, providing safer charging experience, decreasing the battery expansion rate during charging, thus ensuring the battery stays in good condition.
