Asus to roll out Android Pie update to 3 ZenFones by April 15

Earlier Asus announced that it will roll out the Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z and Max Pro M2 in January.

Asus has now announced that Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1, ZenFone Max Pro M2, and ZenFone Max M2 will finally receive the Android 9.0 Pie update by April 15. All three of these smartphones were launched with Android 8.1 Oreo last year.

Earlier Asus announced that it will roll out the Android Pie update for Zenfone 5Z and Max Pro M2 in January, and the Max Pro M1 will get in February. But only, Asus Zenfone 5Z received the update in January. Now the company has also apologized for missing its initial deadline for delivering the Android Pie update.

Dinesh Sharma, Head of Mobile Business for ASUS India, in a Facebook post, said, “Dear Zenfone family, we deeply apologize for missing our previously announced deadline for the Android Pie update. We promise it won’t be the same this time around. We’re bringing the Android Pie to the Zenfone Max Pro M1, Zenfone Max Pro M2 and Zenfone Max M2 latest by April 15th. Thank you all for your patience and continuous support. We promise this Pie will be worth the wait. For those who wish to test it out right now, you may visit the following link to register for our Android Beta Power program.”

Meanwhile, Asus has recently launched Asus Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 which comes with world’s first Qualcomm Snapdragon System in Package (SiP) processor. The Zenfone Max Shot and Zenfone Max Plus M2 are equipped with a 6.2-inch Full display with a screen of 2280 x 1080 pixels. Both the phones run on Android 8.1 Oreo, which can be upgraded to Android Pie. Both of them packs a 4,000mAh battery.

The Zenfone Max Shot comes in two memory options including a 3GB + 32GB of internal storage and 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage. The Zenfone Max Plus M2 is equipped with a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
