Asus has started rolling out a new update to its latest gaming smartphone, the ROG Phone 2. The latest firmware brings improved features along with some fixes.
To start with, the update comes with version number WW_V16.0631.1908.12. It adds AirTrigger, key-mapping and macro customization for options in the Armory Crate application. One can also share the game profiles with other ROG Phone 2 users. The update also brings the ability to launch different apps using AirTriggers 2. Users can choose which App to launch with a long squeeze or short squeeze. Finally, the update adds option to switch between connected Bluetooth devices right from the call screen. The update weighs around 2.77GB and it should reach users in the coming weeks. Here’s the complete changelog:

To recall, Asus ROG Phone 2 is available in two variants. The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at Rs 37,999, while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage is priced at Rs 59,999. The 8GB variant comes with 18W charger and AeroCase while the 12GB RAM with 512GB storage variant comes with 30W fast charger and AeroActive Cooler II in the box.

Asus ROG Phone 2 is backed by a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Display with a screen resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels along with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The gaming phone features 120Hz Refresh Rate and 240Hz response time along with 108 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut.
It is powered by 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Plus Processor along with Adreno 640 GPU coupled with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant and 12GB RAM + 512GB UFS 3.0 storage options.
For the photography, the phone is loaded with a dual-camera setup, which comes with a combination of 48-megapixel primary lens along with a 13-megapixel Wide-Angle lens with a 125-degree field of view. For the front, the company has added a 24-megapixel selfie shooter.
