Asus launches world’s first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen octa-core processor

Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC will be available exclusively on Flipkart from March 20.

Famed PC and smartphone maker, Asus has added another high-end laptop to its kitty. This time, it has announced world’s first gaming laptop with AMD Ryzen octa-core processor, named as Asus ROG Strix GL702ZC. This will be available exclusively on Flipkart from March 20.

The laptop boasts AMD’s FreeSync technology which keeps the display’s in sync with the graphics card, offering a smooth gaming experience on its 17.3-inch Full IPS display that comes with 178-degree viewing angles.

Its AMD Ryzen 7 1700 has eight cores and multithreading support, and is assisted by 4GB AMD Radeon RX580 graphics card that also offers support for virtual reality. The Asus Strix GL702ZC comes with 16GB DDR4 and 256GB M.2 SSD, along with a 1TB HDD. The laptop also comes with a card reader built in.

For connectivity, the laptop offers ac 2×2, 4.1, 1 USB 3.1 Type C Gen 2 port, 3 USB 3.0 ports, a 3.5mm jack, 1 HDMI 2.0 port, 1 RJ45 port and 1 DisplayPort. Other than that it offers a backlit chiclet keyboard, Sonic Studio and Sonic Radar and an Array microphone.
