Priced at about Rs 20,467, the tablet will initially be available only in the USA.

Renowned tablet maker Asus will launch its new 10.1 inch tablet on 22 April in the USA, reported PC World. The tablet, named Transformer Pad 300, will be based on the latest 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The price of the tablet has not been divulged by the company but a retailer is taking preorders for the 32 version for $399 or approximately Rs 20,467. Also, the availability of the tablet in India is not known as of now.

Introduced at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, the Asus Transformer Pad 300 will come with a docking keyboard with chiclet style keys. This tablet sports a 10.1 inch touchscreen display with WXGA (1280 x 800 pixel) resolution. The wide angle IPS panel can support ten point finger touch at the same time.

Transformer Pad 300 houses a quad core 1.2 GHz Nvidia Tegra 3 T30L mobile processor with low power GeForce graphics chip capable of stereoscopic 3D output. Asus has added 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB on board storage. This tablet has an 8 camera at the back with auto focus. There’s a 1.2 megapixel camera in the front too.

Other features of Transformer Pad 300 include LTE/3G network support, WiFi, 3.0, 2-in-1 audio jack, micro HDMI port, a micro card reader and high quality speakers. Asus has packed a 22 Wh Lithium Polymer battery that offers ten hours’ runtime and up to 15 hours with the keyboard dock, which has a built-in 16.5 Wh battery.
