After the launch of the Apple iOS 6 operating system for iPhone, iPad and iPod, Apple has also rolled out a new upgrade for its iOS App store application. The update brings new changes in the iOS app store that would certainly help users shop easier and right form the app itself. The upgrade allows users now to purchase gift cards and share them with friends and family right from within the application itself.
This functionality would come in real handy for users while shopping during the upcoming festive season. Earlier, the gift coupons were only available through physical stores. But sadly, this new functionality will only remain exclusive for Apple users in the Unites States only. Apple has not mentioned when this new functionality will be making its way to other countries including India which is fast becoming one of bigger markets for Apple.
Along with that the new update also brings in better support for devices with Siri, the virtual assistant. Now Siri would also be helping users shop for Apple products and utilising that users can seek a little help from the virtual assistant while finding out the best possible prices for Apple products.
