Amazon has announced the launch of its new line-up of Alexa-powered Echo smart speakers in India. The company has introduced Amazon Echo Dot, Echo Plus and Echo Sub smart speakers in the country.
The Amazon Echo Dot comes at a price tag of Rs 4,499, Echo Plus is priced at Rs 14,999 and Echo Sub will cost you Rs 12,999. All the devices are available for pre-order on Amazon India starting from today. Echo Dot and Echo Plus will start shipping next months, while Echo Sub will be available later this year.
Amazon Echo Dot
The next-generation of Echo Dot smart speaker comes loaded with a new fabric design coupled with a better sound output. The new speaker comes with a curved shape and it is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray and Sandstone colour options. Users can connect the Dot speaker to their home theatre or other speakers via Bluetooth or 3.5mm Audio Jack for a louder sound experience. With Alexa on-board, users can get different information or the weather report, play your favourite music in a multi-room music grouping, set timers and alarms, and control compatible smart home devices.
Amazon Echo Plus
Coming to new Echo Plus smart speaker, it is now easier to set up compatible smart devices easily by just saying, “Alexa, discover my devices,” and it will automatically discover and setup compatible lights and plugs. The new smart speaker comes loaded with an embedded temperature sensor, which helps to set temperature-based routines using other smart home devices. For example, when the living room reaches 32 degree Celsius, Alexa can send a notification to your phone and turn on the AC connected to a smart plug.
Echo Plus features a 3-inch Neodymium woofer and increased back volume so that the bass feels stronger and the mids and highs are clearer, claims the company. It also features an all-new fabric design and is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone paint jobs.
Amazon Echo Sub
This is the first wireless Echo subwoofer for those who want some extra bass while listening to some music. The speaker can deliver 100W deep bass sound through its 6-inch woofer. One can connect the Sub with any other Echo device to create a 1.1 or 2.1 pairing for a stereo sound effect. There is an equalizer feature that adjusts the bass, mid-range, and treble of the pairing by a simple voice command, “Alexa, turn up the bass.”
