Airtel rolls out 4G services in Siliguri

Airtel 4G can be accessed on a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles.

Bharti Airtel has launched its 4G services in Siliguri. With this, Siliguri has become the first town in North Bengal to have 4G mobile services.

Airtel in a press statement claimed that its 4G will enable customer to enjoy uninterrupted HD video streaming, superfast uploading and downloading of movies, music and images.

Airtel 4G can be accessed on a range of smart devices including mobile phones, 4G hotspots and dongles. The operator also claimed that customers can enjoy “Airtel 4G at the price of Airtel 3G with the option of choosing from a host of attractive tariff packs”.

Airtel 4G in Siliguri has been rolled out using spectrum band of 2300 MHz (TD LTE) which, as per the operator, ensures higher spectrum efficiency and increased upload and download speeds, which translates into a superior customer experience.

Commenting on the launch, Ravindra Singh Negi, CEO – West Bengal & Odisha, Bharti Airtel Limited said, “We are delighted to roll out our 4G services in Siliguri, this is a milestone for Airtel with Siliguri becoming the first town in North Bengal to experience Airtel 4G. We also have plans to cover all major locations in the North Bengal and Sikkim shortly. Customers in Siliguri can now look forward to a superlative smartphone experience with Airtel 4G. We invite all data savvy customers to upgrade to Airtel 4G and be a part of India’s widest 4G network.”

To avail the complimentary 4G upgrade and to experience 4G mobile internet speeds Airtel customers with 4G ready mobile devices can walk into their nearest Airtel Store and switch to a 4G SIM.
