Bharti Airtel has today announced a strategic partnership with Amazon India to provide a cashback worth Rs 2,600 on select 4G smartphones available on the e-commerce platform. The partnership is in line with Airtel’s ‘Mera Phela 4G Smartphone’ initiative where the operator has partnered with numerous handset makers to provide cashback on various smartphones.
Under this partnership, the cashback will be available on over 65 4G smartphones, which are exclusively available on Amazon from popular device brands including Samsung, OnePlus, Xiaomi, Honor, LG, Lenovo and Moto amongst others. Users will get Rs 2,000 cashback from Airtel over a period of 36 months, while Amazon is offering a cashback of Rs 600 on Airtel recharge of Rs 169 via Amazon Pay. The brand claims that this will bring down the price of the smartphones and it would be available at an effective price of Rs 3,399.
In order to avail the cashback, customers need to buy a 4G smartphone from the e-commerce site by making full down payment. Then, users need to perform recharges worth Rs 3500 for the first 18 months to get a cashback of Rs 500 and another Rs 3500 for next 18 months to get a cashback of Rs 1500.
To enjoy the additional cashback of INR 600 from Amazon, customers will have to make 24 Airtel recharges of Rs 169 via Mobile Recharge from Amazon. The Rs 600 will be given as cashbacks of INR 25 onto customer’s Amazon Pay balance every month for a period of 24 months. The Rs 169 recharge offers unlimited voice calls (STD + Local) and 1GB data per day for 28 days.
The ownership of the 4G smartphones bought under the offer is with the customer and there is no need to return the device to Airtel or Amazon India at any point to claim the cash benefit. The offer will also be available on select premium 4G smartphones on Amazon. In case, there is an existing cashback offer on the Rs 169 recharge on Amazon, customer’s account will be credited with the higher amount (i.e Rs 25 or above whichever is higher).
