In a bid to take on Airtel, Vodafone has launched a new long-term validity prepaid plan for its customers with high calling usage needs. The new plan is priced at Rs 597 and comes with a validity period of 168 days which is more than five months. However, the plan is available for Vodafone smartphone users with a validity of 112 days, while for feature phone users, the plan has a validity of 168 days.
TelecomTalk reports, the new Vodafone Rs 597 recharge plan also comes with data benefits also but the plan mainly focuses on users looking for call-centric plans. Under this offer, users will get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls, 10GB of 4G/3G data and 100 SMS per day for 112 days.
However, this Vodafone plan comes with a capping of the voice calls at 250 minutes per day, 1000 minutes per week. Further, this plan allows its customers to calls to be made to 100 unique numbers during the entire validity period.
The plan competes with the Airtel Rs 597 prepaid plan. The Airtel plan offers unlimited voice calls without any FUP limit, 100 SMS per day and 10GB of data for 168 days. On the other hand, Reliance Jio too has a plan of Rs 594 but only for JioPhone users. The Jio plan offers similar benefits for a six month period.
Jio’s long terms packs for smartphones start at Rs 999. The plan offers a total of 60GB of 4G data along with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS per day and a complimentary subscription to Jio apps for 90 days. The Airtel plan has an edge over both the Vodafone and Jio plans. It comes without any FUP limit as compared to Vodafone new plan and with better validity than Jio Rs 999 plan.
Vodafone recently launched Rs 159 prepaid plan offering its customers 1GB data per day with unlimited voice calling and 100 SMS per day. So in total, the plan is giving its customers 28GB data under this plan. But this plan also with a capping of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week.
