Airtel announces 60GB of free data for its postpaid customers

The offer is an extension of Airtel Monsoon offer, which was launched three months ago.

Bharti Airtel has announced that it is giving away 60GB of free data to all Airtel postpaid users in India. The offer is an extension of Airtel Monsoon offer, which was launched three months ago.

Under this offer, users will get 60GB of free data for six months, however, there is a FUP limit of 10GB per month. In order to avail this offer, users need to download the My Airtel on their smartphone and click on the banner, which says “Enjoy Live Shows with Free Data”. Then users will be taken to another page, where the users will be asked to download Airtel TV application and once that is done, users will get the free data and it will be credited to the account within 24 hours.

To recall, the similar benefits were given under Airtel Monsoon offer, however, the validity of the offer was for 3 months only. Plus, under company’s Postpaid Promise scheme, the unused data will carry forward to next month, however, under this scheme users can also store up to 200GB of data on his/her account.

Previously, the brand also allowed postpaid customers to create customised plans for the family by adding multiple postpaid connections to their account and one can also enjoy saving up to 20 percent under Family Promise programme. Users can also pool and share their data benefits across all connections. One can also add Airtel prepaid connections to their Family Postpaid by simply switching from prepaid to postpaid in a few clicks using the MyAirtel application. The brand says, the whole process does not require any paperwork and there is no need to visit Airtel store or call customer care for changing their numbers from prepaid to postpaid.

The brand has also introduced Airtel Secure, a digital smartphone protection suite, which covers the smartphones against accidental/liquid damage. The company says that if customer’s device is accidentally damaged, Airtel will arrange for a pick-up of the device, get it repaired from an authorised service centre and deliver it back to the customer. Further, the damage protection is applicable for smartphones up to two years old. It also features Norton Mobile Security Suite, which includes anti-malware protection and app advisor that flags privacy risk.
