Aircel has announced a range of lowcost prepaid plans to take on Reliance Jio. The new range starts from Rs 93 while the costliest plan is priced at Rs 348.
Under the new Rs 93 plan, Aircel is offering local and STD calling at 20 paisa per minute. It offers 250 MB of 3G data too. The Rs 93 plan offers 50 local and national SMS and comes with a year validity.
Moreover it offers talktime of Rs 70. However, it is only available for existing and old Aircel subscribers and is available in Kolkata circles only.
For others the telco has released Rs 175 and Rs 349 plans. Under the Rs 175 plan, you will get 1 GB 3G/4G data, 100 local/national SMS and unlimited voice calls for 30 days. On the other hand, the Rs 349 plan offersthe same benefits as the Rs 175 plan but with validity of 84 days.
Two days back, the operator had rolled out Rs 88, Rs 104 and Rs 199 plans. The Rs 88 plan comes with a validity of seven days and offers 1 GB data per day while the Rs 199 plan offer the same data but has 28 days validity. Reportedly, the Rs 104 plan offers a year’s validity and allows users to call at 20 paisa per minute.
Post Jio, operators have drastically reduced their prices to keep their flocks together. However, as The Mobile Indian had earlier pointed out, multiple offers are creating confusion among users.
