AIR to offer free news service through SMS

Registered users will receive up to three free SMS with news rated content on their mobile phones.

AIR or All India Radio has announced that it will soon be going to launch an based news service for the people in India. Under this All India Radio will be sending out News based SMS messages to registered users on their registered mobile phones for a maximum of three times a day. This service will be brought free of cost to the users with no charges involved in the process of receiving messages on their mobile phones.
AIR to offer free news service
The News Services Division (SMS service) of AIR will provide news headlines free of cost to its listeners on their mobiles. For registering their device listeners will have to subscribe to the service by sending SMS [AIRNWS] Space [NAME] to 8082080820 or they can also do it by simply giving a missed call to 08082080820.

The free messages will include a current news headline up to 100 characters in length and some advertisement related content within the same message. This message will only be sent to users who wishfully opt for the service and for the same AIR has taken permission form Telecom Regulatory Authority of India as well.
