It is worth noting, that the vehicle premiered for South Africa is longer than the Indian variant, which is known by the name of Ford Figo Sedan. Further, the machine is expected to be redesigned in terms of length and will be kept in the sub-4-meter sedan segment for the nation.
In terms of design, the facelift edition of the Figo and Aspire will be noticed with some new cosmetic tweaks. At the front, the cars will now feature a new honeycomb design hexagonal chrome grill with the larger headlamps. The bumpers of the vehicles are also redesigned and get the C-shaped recesses housing the fog lamps inspired by the Ford Freestyle crossover. While on the rear, the boot lid remains the same with some finely edged layout, however, the bumper spots some major changes with sharp and aerodynamic architecture.
Inside the cabin, the dashboard of the sedan gets a new layout which is very much similar to the Freestyle. Further, one will find the 6.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It is powered by the Ford’s Sync 3 tech, as well as supports the Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As far as specifications are concerned, the Figo and Aspire will get the new, 3-cylinder 1.2-litre petrol engine. Which is claimed to chunk the power of 96 PS and 120 Nm peak torque. While the 1.5-litre diesel engine remains the same with the 100 PS of power. Other than this, both the motors will be mated to 5-speed manual transmissions.
