Xolo launches X910 with Intel processor for Rs 9999

The phone has a 4.2 inch qHD display, 1.6 GHz processor, 5 megapixel rear camera and Android 4.0 ICS.

Xolo, a brand of Lava Mobile, has launched another Intel powered smartphone in India for Rs 9,999. The phone, called X910, joins the league of Xolo X500, X900 and X1000 – all of which are based on Intel processor.

The phone has a 4.3 inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) based IPS display which means it has 256 ppi that is quite high for a sub-Rs 10,000 smartphone. The processor is the same 1.6 GHz Intel Atom used in X900 and is coupled with 400 graphics processor and 1 of RAM and 4 GB internal memory.

The disappointing part is the use of 4.0 instead of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. However, Xolo phones do support over the air update and will in all likelihood receive the update sooner or slightly later.

The other features of the phone include a 5 rear camera and VGA front camera. It has a 2000 battery and can connect to networks with speeds up to 21 Mbps. The phone weighs 150 grams and is 10mm thick both of which is a very respectable figures.

The phone looks good in pictures and is a nice alternative to X900 which though has a better camera but is costlier and has slightly smaller 4 inch display. Given that Xolo X910 gets same underlying hardware we expect very speedy performance and good battery backup. Its display also has a very good resolution and being an IPS display we expect good viewing angle as well.

Xolo has priced the Xolo 910 quite aggressively and we expect the phone to be quite a hit. It has already been sold out on Flipkart but is available on other sites like Saholic and Snapdeal.
