Xiaomi, the Chinese electronics manufacturer, has crossed another milestone. The company has claimed that it sold 10 million units of the smartphones in the month of September alone.
Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, announced this news on his official Weibo account. He said, “We have good news to share: More than 10 million Xiaomi phones were shipped in September, marking the first time in our history we have crossed 10 million units in a single month! This means our business has achieved a new level.”
According to multiple reports, one of the main reasons behind this record is Indian market which accounts10 percent of the devices that were shipped in the country. Meanwhile, Flipkart and Amazon India have also recorded strong sales during the two days of flash festival sale.
Later on, Manu Kumar Jain, Vice President and Indian Head, Xiaomi, expressed his thoughts on Twitter. He said, “Happy to share that Xiaomi shipped 10 million plus smartphones in September. Thank you everyone for your support in this incredible journey!”

Earlier, Xiaomi’s most popular budget offering, the Redmi Note 4, crossed the milestone of5 million units within six months of launch and data includes from January 23 to July 23, 2017.
