Xiaomi recently introduced its latest Pro smartphone for the Indian market with Redmi Note 6 Pro. Now, the company has rolled out a new update for the latest device that brings some improvements and bug fixes.
The new update weighs around 297MB and it carries version number MIUI V10.0.5.OEKMIFH. The update is rolling out via OTA and one can check for the latest update by going to Settings > About Phone > Software Update.
The latest update brings two major bug fixes and improvements. Firstly, it fixes the issue of Carrier name, which was displayed even when the SIM card was installed in some cases. The update also brings a fix to random crashes in some cases. The new update still carries October 2018 security patch.
To recall, the smartphone was launched in November this year. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro comes in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB internal storage, 6GB RAM + 64GB internal storage priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999 respectively. The smartphone comes in Blue, Red, Black and Rose Gold colours and will be available for sale on Flipkart and Mi.com.
The smartphone features a 6.26-inch Full HD+ display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, dual rear cameras (12MP + 5MP), 20MP front camera, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB storage options, 4000mAh battery and it runs on Android Oreo.
