Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro starts receiving Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 Global Beta update

The update comes with version number MIUI 10 Global Beta 9.3.25 and it also brings the latest April security patch. Apart from this, the update adds a system-wide dark theme, which can be turned on by going to display settings. The beta update also adds Game Turbo to the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone.

Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 10 Global Beta for its older Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone. The new update brings 9.0 Pie to the table along with some key features.

The update comes with version number MIUI 10 Global Beta 9.3.25 and it also brings the latest April security patch. Apart from this, the update adds a system-wide dark theme, which can be turned on by going to display settings. The beta update also adds Game Turbo to the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone.

With this, users can perform various actions while playing their favourite games. One can take a screenshot, clear memory, a floating window for various apps, screen recording and more. However, it is important to note that this is a MIUI Global Nightly Beta update and it is only available for closed beta testers only. Hopefully, the company will soon roll out the Global Beta ROM for all its users in the coming weeks.

Previously, the phone received a permanent price cut in the country. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB with 64GB storage variant will now retail for Rs 12,999 in India, while the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant will be priced at Rs 13,999.

To recollect its key specifications, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro features a 5.99-inch Full display with a screen of 2160 x 1080 pixels, along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. It has a 4000mAh battery and it runs on MIUI 9.5 based Android 8.1 Oreo. On the camera front, it is equipped with a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens and a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.
