Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi Go will now be available on an open sale and it will be in stock 24/7. This means interested buyers can now purchase the Redmi Go whenever they want.
Redmi India made this open saleannouncement on Twitter. One can buy the Redmi Go from Mi.com, Flipkart, and Mi Home. Until now the phone was available on flash sale across Flipkart, Mi Home and Mi.com. The phone is made available in Black and Blue colour options.
The Redmi Go is the first Android Go phone from Xiaomi which was launched in India last month for Rs 4,499. It features a 5-inch HD screen with 1280 x 720 Pixel resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 296 PPI and 1000 contrast ratio. Redmi Go runs on Google’s Android 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and comes pre-installed with customised apps like Gmail Go, Assistant Go, Maps Go, etc.

In the camera department, Redmi Go features an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1.12-micron pixels, an f/2.0 aperture, and a single LED flash module.. The rear camera has various features like Auto-focus HDR, Continuous photo mode (Burst), Countdown timer, Manual mode, real-time filters and smart scene mode. On the front, the Redmi Go packs a 5-megapixel camera, with 1.12-micron pixels and an f/2.2 aperture.
It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core Processor backed by Adreno 308 GPU and paired with 1GB RAM. There is 8GB of internal storage, which can further be expanded up to 128GB with a microSD card slot. The phone has a 3,000mAh battery which the company claims to offer 10 days of standby time. The phone does not feature security options like fingerprint sensor and face unlock.
Connectivity options for the phone will include Dual-SIM support, 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and a micro-USB port. Sensors on board include Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer. The Redmi Go measures 140.4×70.1×8.35mm and weighs 137 grams.
