Xiaomi Redmi Go 16GB storage variant launched for Rs 4,799

The Xiaomi Redmi Go comes in Blue and Black colours.

Xiaomi launched Redmi Go smartphone in India for Rs 4,499 with 8GB of internal storage earlier this year. Now the company has launched a new variant of the smartphone with 16GB of internal storage in the country for Rs 4,799.

The Redmi Go 16GB variant is now available for purchase in the country via Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi home stores. The Xiaomi Redmi Go comes in Blue and Black colours.

Xiaomi Redmi Go features a 5-inch screen with 1280 x 720 resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 296 PPI and 1000 contrast ratio. The phone has a 3,000mAh battery and it does not feature security options like fingerprint sensor and face unlock.

It has an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1.12-micron pixels, an f/2.0 aperture, and a single flash module. The rear camera has various features like Auto-focus HDR, Continuous photo mode (Burst), Countdown timer, Manual mode, real-time filters and smart scene mode. On the front, the Redmi Go packs a 5-megapixel camera, with 1.12-micron pixels and an f/2.2 aperture.

Redmi Go runs on Google’s 8.1 Oreo (Go Edition) and comes pre-installed with customised apps like Gmail Go, Assistant Go, Maps Go, etc. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor backed by Adreno 308 GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage is further expandable up to 128GB via card.

There are connectivity options like support, 4G, 4.1, micro-USB port, GPS, Wi-Fi, and 3.5mm jack. The Redmi Go measures 140.4 x 70.1 x 8.35mm and weighs 137 grams.
