Xiaomi has announced that it is reducing the prices of its latest budget-centric smartphone, the Redmi 6A, in India.
The company has announced the price cut on its official Twitter handle. With the price cut, the smartphone is once back to its original launch price. The Redmi 6A with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage is now priced at Rs 5,999, while the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option come with a reduced price tag of Rs 6,999.

To recall, Xiaomi recently hiked the price of the Redmi 6A in India. The company introduced Rs 500 price hike for all the models. This means the base variant of the Redmi 6A was priced at Rs 6,599, while the 3GB RAM variant comes with a price tag of Rs 7,499.
Recollecting some key specifications, the Redmi 6A a 5.45-inch HD+ IPS display with 720 x 1440 pixel resolution and an 18:9 elongated front screen. The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio A22 quad-core processor along with 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage. The memory can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
The Redmi 6A has a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash, HDR and panorama, phase-detection Autofocus and a 5MP front camera. Connectivity options for both include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi, GPS/ A-GPS, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo and is backed by a 3000mAh battery.
