Xiaomi Redmi 6 price slashed in India, now starts at Rs 7,999

Xiaomi launched Redmi 6 at Rs 7,999 and Rs 9,499 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB and 3GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variants.

Xiaomi has today announced price cut on its Redmi 6 smartphone in India. The price cut is applicable on both 32GB and 64GB variants of the phone. Earlier the company also slashed the price on its other smartphones likeMi A2, Redmi Note 5 Pro,Redmi Y2 and Redmi 6.

After the price cut, the 3GB + 32GB storage variant of Xiaomi Redmi 6 is now priced at Rs 7,999 and the 3GB RAM + 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs. 8,999. It comes in Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Blue colour options. Both the variants at the new price will be available on Mi.com, Mi Home, Flipkart and offline stores.

Xiaomi launched Redmi 6 at Rs 7,999 and Rs 9,499 for the 3GB RAM/ 32GB and 3GB RAM/ 64GB inbuilt storage variants. But the price was later increased by Rs 500 and after 3GB RAM/ 32GB was priced at Rs 8,499.

The price cut has been announced by Xiaomi India MD Manu Kumar Jain on his twitter handle. The tweet reads “Last#High5 announcement! #Redmi6 price drop: 3GB+32GB variant now available for ₹7,999 onhttps://mi.com @Flipkart. Dual camera, 12nm octa-core & dual VoLTE. What a week! 5#High5 announcements + 3 launches: 2 Mi TVs & Mi Soundbar! RT if you these products”.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a 5.45-inch (720×1440 pixels) with an 18:9 aspect ratio, runs MIUI 9.6 on top of 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and powered by MediaTek Helio P22 SoC. It has 3,000mAh battery with support for 5W charging, dual rear cameras with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor and a 5-megapixel front camera.
