Xiaomi has launched a new Lake Blue colour variant of the Redmi 5A smartphone in China. Xiaomi Redmi 5A was launched in October last month in China in Champagne Gold, Platinum Silver Gray and Rose Gold colour options. The new colour variant is priced at 599 Yuan which is approximately Rs 5,884 and it will go on sale starting today.
This new variant of the smartphone features the same set of specifications as the existing variants. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A features 5-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 296ppi and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD. The Redmi 5A gets its strength from decent 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Android Nougat operating system wrapped under MIUI 9.
On the camera front, the Redmi 5A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. on its back, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies with f/2.0 Aperture lens. Besides the smartphone offers hybrid dual SIM, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, and a Micro USB port. The handset measures 140.4 x 70.1 mm x 8.35 mm and weighs 137g.
Meanwhile, Xioami is all set to launch a new Redmi smartphone in India on November 30. The company has however not revealed the name of the smartphone to be announced but we expect the Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone might be launched in the country. Xiaomi is calling its upcoming smartphone as #DeshKaSmartphone.
