Xiaomi to launch a new Redmi smartphone in India on November 30

Xiaomi is calling its upcoming smartphone as #DeshKaSmartphone.

Xiaomi has today announced that the company is all set to launch a new Redmi smartphone in India on November 30. The company has however not revealed the name of the smartphone to be announced but we expect the Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone might be launched in the country.

Redmi India and Manu Kumar Jain, VP and Managing Director, Xioami has announced the launch of the new smartphone on their respective official twitter handles. Xiaomi is calling its upcoming smartphone as #DeshKaSmartphone. Taking this into account, we assume that the device will be a budget-oriented smartphone for the Indian mobile market. To recall, Xiaomi Redmi 5A smartphone was launched in China last month at 599 Yuan which is approximately Rs 5,884.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A features 5-inch display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 296ppi and is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, and expandable storage up to 128GB via microSD. The Redmi 5A gets its strength from decent 3,000 mAh battery and runs on Nougat operating system wrapped under MIUI 9.

On the camera front, the Redmi 5A sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, Flash, f/2.2 aperture, burst mode, panorama mode, HDR mode, and more. on its back, and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies with f/2.0 lens. Besides the smartphone offers hybrid dual SIM, with VoLTE, Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n), 4.1, GPS, and a port. The handset measures 140.4 x 70.1 mm x 8.35 mm and weighs 137g.
