Xiaomi Redmi 5 surfaces online revealing specs and price

Xiaomi seems to be working on to bring the successors of its4 series of smartphone (Redmi 4, Redmi Note 4, and the Redmi 4A) which are dubbed as Xioami Redmi 5, Redmi Note 5 and Redmi 5A. Xioami Redmi Note 5 has already surfaced online revealing its specifications and expected pricing. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A retail box image also leaked recently. Now the third Xiaomi device, which is Xioami Redmi 5 has also surfaced online via some photos on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo, which has revealed its expected specifications and the pricing as well.

As per the leaked images, Redmi 5 will feature a 5 inch full display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. It will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 or 630 octa core processor with Adreno 508 GPU. Redmi 5 is said to be coming in three variants – 3GB of RAM with 16GB of internal memory, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal memory. The smartphone will be featuring a fingerprint sensor on the back of the device.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be backed up by a 3,680mAh non-removable battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology and will be powered by 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with yet-unreleased MIUI 9.0 on top of it. For camera department, Xiaomi Redmi 5 will ship with a rear front 16-megapixel camera with flash and a 5-megapixel front camera.

The pricing of Redmi 5 has also been leaked by the source, as per which 3GB RAM + 16GB will be priced at 859 Yuan, 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM will be priced at 1039 Yuan. Both these variants are said to be powered by Snapdragon 625 chipset. The premium model with 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM will cost you 1299 Yuan which will be powered by a Snapdragon 630 chipset.
