Xiaomi Mi Note 3 tipped to launch in Q3 2017

The Mi Note 3 is expected to be powered by powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor.

We already know that the Xiaomi is working on the successor of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 – the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 which was rumoured to be launched in the second quarter of the year. Now if we go by the latest round of leak, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 might be launched in the third quarter (Q3) of this year instead.

The leak comes from a Chinese microblogging website, Weibo user who has revealed that Mi Note 3 is going to be unveiled during Q3 2017 and would use an display. Furthermore, as per the post, the company might launch the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 alongside Mi Note 3. The leak somewhat looks more generic as the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 was launched last year along with Xiaomi Mi Mix on the same day.

As per the earlier report, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will sport a curved display, similar to its predecessor Mi Note 2. It is expected to be powered by powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor. The Mi Note 3 is also tipped to come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The smartphone will reportedly feature 5.7 inch display with QHD (2560 x 1440 pixel) display and it will be backed up by a 4070 mAh battery. The Mi Note 3 is also said to come with dual camera setup however the there is no information about the camera yet. The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 is rumoured to be priced around $750 which is approximately Rs 48,213. The smartphone is said to be one of the most powerful smartphones of the year if the leaked specifications actually come out to be true.

To recall, the Mi Note 2 comes with a 5.7 inch OLED flexible display which curved around the edges making it a 77.2 percent of the screen to body ratio. On the inside, it is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 clocked at 2.35 GHz and Adreno 530 GPU. Mi Note 2 comes in two variants – 4GB RAM with 64 GB internal storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB internal storage.

The flagship from Xiaomi boasts a 22.56-megapixel rear camera with a Sony IMX318 Exmor RS sensor, a f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, and EIS with its own 3-axis gyroscope for video stabilisation. For selfies, it comes with 8-megapixel shooter with f/2.0 with features like group selfie and Auto Beautify 3.0. To power up the device, there is 4070 mAh battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0. For connectivity, Xiaomi is promising speeds of up to 6000 Mbps, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, for Mi Pay etc. It also houses Aquatic audio for enhanced audio quality both from the speakers and headphones.
