Xiaomi Mi A3 Android One smartphone India launch teased by company

Xiaomi launched its Mi A3 Android One smartphone last month in Spain succeeding the Mi A2 which was launched last year.

Xiaomi Mi A3 is reportedly launching in India on August 23. Now Xiaomi India has officially teased the smartphone launch with a one-minute long video featuring Manu Kumar Jain, the Global VP of Xiaomi.

In the video, Manu Kumar Jain has asked Mi fans to guess the launch date of the Mi A3. He also confirmed that one Mi fan who answers the question correctly will get the Mi A3 for free.

Xiaomi launched its Mi A3 Android One smartphone last month in Spain succeeding the Mi A2 which was launched last year. This is the third smartphone in the Android One series from Xiaomi after Mi A1 and Mi A2.

Xiaomi Mi A3 is priced at 249 Euros (approx. Rs 18,500) for the 4GB + 64GB of internal storage, while the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage option is priced 279 Euros (approx. Rs 21,000). In India, the phone is likely to be priced around Rs 20,000.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 runs on Android 9.0 Pie and it comes under Android One programme. It features a 6.08-inch with a screen resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels along with 19:9 aspect ratio and with a waterdrop-style notch. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 along with Adreno 610 GPU. It has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The smartphone comes in two memory variants – one with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage and 4GB RAM and 128GB internal memory. The memory can be further expanded via card slot. Xiaomi Mi A3 has a triple rear camera setup that has a 48-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with a 118-degree f/1.79 lens, and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor for depth sensing. For the front, there is a 32-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calling.

The Xiaomi Mi A3 is backed up by a 4,030mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Connectivity features include VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm jack.
