Xiaomi Mi A2 smartphone was recently spotted on a Swiss electronics retail portal revealing its key specifications. Now the smartphone has been spotted on Taiwanese certification agency NCC’s official website.
The NCC certification has hinted that the Xiaomi Mi A2 will make its official debut in coming weeks in Taiwan. It is also expected that the smartphone will also make its debut in India later. The company has also started teasing its next global launch event asking its fans where they would like to go with Mi for a global event. Many are reporting the company will likely to launch Xiaomi Mi A2 at the event.
The listing via DealNTech, however, does not reveal Mi A2’s marketing name but it does mention the model number, which is similar to the Chinese version, Mi 6X. The model number is M1804D2SG and complies with Taiwan’s 4G frequency Band 2600 MHz/1800 MHz/ 900 Mhz.
Xiaomi’s Mi A2 smartphone is said to be Android One variant of Mi 6X which was launched in April this year. Xiaomi held a global event last year to launch the Xiaomi Mi A1 Android One smartphone which is a rebranded version of the Xiaomi Mi 5X that it had launched a little earlier in China.
As per earlier leaks, the smartphone will come in three variants – 32GB variant priced atEuro 289 (approx Rs. 19,800), the 64GB variant which will cost youEuro 329 (approx Rs. 22,500), and the 128GB variant which comes in atEuro 369 (approx Rs. 25,200). Xiaomi Mi A2 will come in Black, Blue, and Gold colour variants.
As far as the specifications are concerned, as per the listing, the Xiaomi Mi A2 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with 2160 × 1080 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 Processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 32GB/64GB/128GB of internal storage.
On the camera front, the device features a dual-camera setup with a combination of 12-megapixel primary lens with f/1.75 Aperture along with a secondary 20-megapixel secondary sensor with f/1.75 aperture. For the front, there is a 20-megapixel shooter with a f/1.8 aperture for selfies and video calling
The Xiaomi Mi A2 will be backed by a 3010 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 and it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo. The listing mentions that the Mi A2 is an Android One smartphone. On the connectivity front, it supports, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-SIM, GPS and USB Type-C port. The Mi A2 will measure 158.70 x 7.30 x 75.40mm and weigh in at 168 grams.
