Xiaomi Mi A1 Android 8.0 aka Oreo Beta update rolled out to selected users in December last year. Later, a stable version of Android Oreo was rolled out for Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone. Now just about after 10 days of the update, the Oreo update for Mi A1 has been pulled down by Xiaomi.
The news arrives via Piunika.web, which has leaked a Xiaomi screenshot showing off a Mi representative stating that the update had been “stopped temporarily”. Mi A1 users on Reddit have also been asking about the status of Oreo update.
Various bugs have been reported by Xiaomi Mi users after the update. The most noticeable bug that the users are facing after the update Oreo on the Mi A1 is the battery drain issue which is closely connected to the phone’s Bluetooth function. Some user had issues when answering a call if the phone’s display is turned off, but the phone is not locked.
It is however not known when the company will start releasing Android 8.0 Oreo for the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone users.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi A1 has received a permanent price cut of Rs 1,000. The device was launched at Rs 14,999 and is now available for Rs 1,000 less. So now after the price cut, Xiaomi Mi A1 retails at Rs 13,999 on Flipkart and Mi.com.
