Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth confirmed to be launched on September 19 in China

Xiaomi will be launching the Mi 8 Youth Edition in Chengdu, which is the capital of southwestern China’s Sichuan province.

It’s official!! Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi will be announcing the Mi 8 Youth smartphone on September 19 in China at a launch event to be held in Chengdu.

The company has officially announced the launch date on its Weibo (Chinese microblogging website) handle that it will be launching the Mi 8 Youth Edition in Chengdu, which is the capital of southwestern China’s Sichuan province.

The new launch date teaser is in line with yesterday’s teaser from Xiaomi which revealed that the company has scheduled an event in China, in the famous Panda City of Chengdu.

The Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth was recently spotted on TENAA certification website. As per the listing, the Mi 8 Youth will feature a 6.26-inch Full display with a screen of 1080×2280 pixels, and 19:9 aspect ratio. It will be powered by the Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 710 processor. It will be coming in three variants – 4GB + 32GB, 6GB + 64GB, and 8GB + 128GB.

There will be horizontally aligned dual rear cameras with the 12-megapixel primary sensor and 8-megapixel secondary sensor. For the front, it will have a 24-megapixel selfie camera.

The Mi 8 Youth is said to run 8.1 Oreo and it will have a 3,250mAh battery. The dimensions will be 156.4 x 75.8 x 7.5 mm and it will weigh 169 grams. The phone will launch in Black, Rose gold, White, Blue, Red, Pink, Gray, Silver, Green, Blue-Violet Gradient, and Purple Gold Gradient colour variants. For security, it will have a fingerprint scanner on the back.
