Winknet launches two tablets with 1.5GHz processor

The tablets operates on the Android 4.0 and can support external USB hard disc drive upto 1 TB.

Winknet, part of Shyam group which is also a partner in CDMA operator MTS, has launched two new tablets. Called Ultimate TWY300 and Wonder TWY100, the tablets come with 9.7 inch and 7 inch screens respectively. Both the tablets are powered by a 1.5 GHz ARM A8 processor, Mali 400 and 512 DDRIII RAM.

The tablets operate on the 4.0 version and features Multi Point Touch IPS Panel, USB ports for connecting accessories like Pen Drives, mouse, keyboard, USB HUB and external USB hard disc drive upto 1 TB.

Nafis Kazim, chief operating officer, Shyam Networks said, “Winknet range of tablets allows the consumers to experience a perfect and seamless web content experience, enjoy diverse range of multi-media content even while on move and offer full communication network anywhere and at any time.”

The Winknet Wonder and Ultimate, weighing 365 and 643 grams respectively, are claimed to be thinnest in their segment. Winknet Ultimate Tablet features a 2 rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front camera while Wonder sports a 0.3 megapixel camera.

Bundled with Hungama Apps, these device come preloaded with one free Hindi movie, 10 video songs and 20 audio songs. Winknet Wonder comes with 8 inbuilt memory while Ultimate comes with 16 GB in built memory; but in both, memory can be expanded upto 32 GB. The Ultimate comes with 8000 battery while the Wonder has a 3000 mAH unit.

Both the tablets have WiFi and connectivity. These tabs also support dongle.

The Winknet Wonder and Ultimate tablets are priced at Rs 7,999 and 14,999 respectively and are available at retail stores as well as on Ebay and Snapdeal.
