Windows 7.8 brings less joy, more sorrow

Users have started complaining that the update makes usage of handsets more difficult.

The Windows Phone 7.8 upgrade, which was recently launched for older Windows Phone devices, is reportedly causing problems with the devices, especially the Lumia smartphones.

Users of Lumia smartphones, after upgrading their devices to Windows Phone 7.8, have complained about low sound levels forcing them to tweak the settings in order to use the devices. Although many others device owners who opted the upgrade have also complained about similar issues but the sound issue is much more prominent on Nokia Lumia devices.
Windows 7.8 brings less joy
The older Windows Phone 7.5 came with a safety feature for the live tiles. So in the unlikely event of the data being unavailable at the source, the live tiles used to stop fetching data after a few tries.

In Windows Phone 7.8 however the live tiles are not limiting the number of tries that they are making to connect or to download the data from the source resulting in up to 1 of additional data by tiles while the device is functional adding to data costs for the devices.

As of now no response has been received but something is expected to be rolled out soon to patch up these issues on devices in the coming days.
