Popular instant Messaging application – WhatsApp, played a disappearing act with the Windows Phone based devices. Several Windows Phone 7.5 users are finding it difficult to locate the WhatsApp App in the Windows Phone Store. However, on lot of scouting the WhatsApp does show up but actually is hidden.
The disappearing act of the app however LED many to wonder if its developers have done so to introduce its paid version. However, a website – WPCentral claimed that the WhatsApp app is still available in the Windows Phone Store (Windows Phone Marketplace).
WhatsApp is undoubtedly the most popular instant messaging outside the world of BlackBerry Messenger. Windows Phone 7.5 has couple of limitations that stops the app from running in background and providing notifications seamlessly.
As of now, WhatsApp has not been made available on the Windows Phone 8 platform. We believe that the developers are still figuring out the Windows Phone 8 platform and working on delivering better experience with the new features.
