Vodafone partners with Lava to offer Rs 900 cashback on select feature phones

The offer is valid until October 31, 2017 and is available for both new and existing Vodafone customers.

Vodafone India has today announced that it is partnering with Lava International Limited to offer a complete cashback worth Rs 900 to its customers on the purchase of a new Lava feature phone. The offer is valid until October 31, 2017 and is available for both new and existing Vodafone customers.

Under this offer, when a Vodafone customer will purchase a Lava feature, he/she can avail a cashback worth Rs 50 for 18 months on minimum recharge of Rs 100 in a calendar month. The credited talk time makes a grand total of Rs 900 in 18 months.

However, the offer is only valid on select Lava feature phones including ARC 101, ARC 105, ARC One Plus, Spark i7, KKT 9s, KKT Pearl, KKT 34 Power, KKT 40 Power+, Captain K1+ and Captain N1. The cashback will be available to the customers who have either purchased a new Lava feature phone and have subscribed to a new Vodafone prepaid number. It is also applicable for consumers who are already using a Lava feature phone and have purchased a new Vodafone SIM or an active Vodafone user who has purchased a new Lava feature phone.

The move will help Vodafone to counter Reliance JioPhone, which created some strong buzz in the telecom industry when it was introduced. Other operators are also looking to bring the alternative of the famous JioPhone and one of them is Idea Cellular.

The company is reported to launch a new smartphone in order to counter Reliance JioPhone pretty soon. The company is expected to launch its phone at a price point of Rs 2,500. Meanwhile, Airtel is also reported to partner with other handset manufacturers to provide affordable 4G-enabled feature phone. However, unlike JioPhone, Airtel will not ‘subsidise’ the cost of the handset, instead, it will bundle it different plans.
