Vivo is all set to launch its new smartphone in India with in-screen fingerprint scanner – the Vivo X21 on May 29. The company has already sent the invites for the launch event to be held at the said date. Now ahead of its official launch, the Chinese company has started taking pre-order for the Vivo X21. One can Pre-Book the phone on Vivo official E-Store by making an advance payment of Rs 2,000.
The company’s website is also offering attractive pre-booking offers which include a Rs 1,000 gift voucher from Ferns n petals, 5 percent cashback on SBI credit cards, no cost EMI up to 12 months, and one-year device security along with 280 GB additional data from Vodafone.
Interested customers will get an email with a coupon code to purchase the Vivo X21 once they submit the pre-booking amount. Once the device launches on May 29, they will be able to apply the coupon on Vivo’s online store and pay the balance amount to get the device. However, Vivo X21’s product page on the Vivo online store reveals neither the pricing nor the availability of the smartphone.
Flipkart has already confirmed that the Vivo X21 will be available for sale exclusively on the e-commerce website after the launch. The Vivo X21 was first launched in China in March this year. It features a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. Though the device comes with its own FunTouch OS 4.0 on top, the X21 actually runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo. It is also eligible for Android P Beta as per what was revealed at the Google I/O conference.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 2.2GHz octa Processor coupled with an Adreno 512 GPU. It has 6GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB inbuilt storage options and expandable memory up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.
For the camera department, the Vivo X21 has a vertical rear dual camera setup with a 12-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.8 Aperture and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor with f/2.4 aperture with LED flash. On the front, there is a 12-megapixel front camera which has features such as a f/2.0 aperture, IR fill light, 3D mapping, and Face Wake facial recognition. It has a 3200mAh battery with Fast charging support.
Vivo X21 has connectivity options like 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, USB 2.0 with OTG support, and GPS. The device measures 154.5 x 74.8 x 7.4mm and weighs 156.2 grams.
