Vivo has started teasing a new budget smartphone in China with Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. The company has posted a teaser on Chinese microblogging website, Weibo showcasing the rear design of the smartphone.
The launch poster carries the image of the phone which confirms that the upcoming Vivo smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset. At the moment, the name of the device has not been revealed by the company.
In the poster, the back of the upcoming Vivo smartphone has a S-shaped pattern. It shows that the rear of the device will have a triple camera setup placed at the upper-left corner and a fingerprint scanner.
The Vivo branding can also be seen at the bottom-left corner at the back of the device. The right side of the phone will have a volume rocker and a power key. The bottom of the device features a speaker, micro USB port, a microphone and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Currently, Vivo has three Snapdragon 675 powered smartphones – Vivo V15 Pro, Vivo S1 Pro and Vivo V17 Pro. All these smartphones come with in-screen fingerprint sensor. However, the phone shown in the poster has a rear-positioned fingerprint reader. Also, the phone lacks support for fast charging since USB-C port is missing. It is likely that this Vivo smartphone will be a budget segment device.
