Vivo launched NEX smartphone in India last year. Later in December, the company launched its second NEX series smartphone dubbed as Vivo NEX Dual Screen. Now Vivo is working on its third NEX series smartphone which will be known as Vivo NEX 2.
A Vivo official on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo has revealed that the Vivo NEX 2 will soon be launching in China. However, the post did not mention any specific timeline for the launch of the upcoming NEX series smartphone. The Vivo NEX 2 will be the successor to the Vivo NEX Dual Screen Edition.
Vivo NEX Dual Screen smartphone comes with two displays with the front panel featuring a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen of resolution 1080 x 2340 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. The second screen is a 5.49-inch standard FHD display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels.
The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 845 Chipset with Adreno 630 coupled with 10GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It has a triple rear camera setup with a 12MP primary sensor with OIS and f/1.79 Aperture lens and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. The third camera is a 3D ToF (Time of Flight).
The device is fuelled by a 3500mAh battery with 22.5W Fast charging and it runs on Android 9 One based FunTouch OS 4.5. Connectivity options include Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi, Bluetooth 5 LE, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm Headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
