To address the need of people who want to know where they will find bus stops, redBus has launched a new feature called “Virtual Bus Stops” on its website when someone books a ticket.
Alok Goel, chief products officer for redBus.in said, “Helping customers have a smooth bus travel is our number one goal. Bus stop related queries constitute a major chunk of our support calls and is a major discomfort to our customers. Hence, we took the task on our hands to bring all the boarding points into the virtual world. We hope that this feature will completely eliminate such irritants from your bus journey.”
Alok further added, “This service will initially will be available on redBus’s website and in due course of time it will be implemented on our mobile app also.”
To use this service, users have to simply click on “Help me select boarding point” while booking a ticket and redBus search engine will show all the bus stops with their GPS location on a map.
Apart from that one can also see photographs of bus stops with full 180 degree panoramic view. This feature is currently available for buses departing from Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kolkata and Ahmedabad.
