Without making any official announcement, Asus has silently released the upgraded version of Asus Fonepad tablet, which also support voice calling, on an online shopping site- Flipkart, for Rs 17,999.
The new beefed up version of the older Asus Fonepad has three main upgrades – processor, Internal Memory and price.
It has 1.6GHz Intel Atom Z2460 processor instead of 1.2 GHz Intel Atom Z2420 as in its predecessor, internal storage has also been increased from 8 GB to 32GB and is priced Rs 2,000 costlier than the older one.
The new Asus Fonepad has a 7 inch display with 1280×800 Resolution and runs on Android 4.1. On the connectivity front it supports 3G SIM, WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS.
Apart from that, the tablet has a 3 Megapixel auto focus rear camera and a 1.2 megapixel front-facing camera for video calling.
