Two Xiaomi smartphones receive FCC certification

Xiaomi has recently launched Redmi series including Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones in China. However, the company skipped Redmi 6 Plus at the event. Both Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A also run Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top.

Seems like Xiaomi is getting ready for the launch of some new devices soon in the United States. As per the reports, two Xiaomi devices with model number M1804C3DG and M1804C3CG have got the all necessary approval from Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable in the US.

The FCC listing, first spotted by MySmartPrice, however, does not reveal the name of the devices but as per previous reports, Xiaomi is working on three devices – Redmi 6 Pro, Mi Max 3 and Mi Pad 4. It is likely that the devices spotted at FCC might be Redmi 6 Pro/Plus or Mi Max 3 or Mi Pad 4. Or is it expected that Xiaomi could either launch completely new smartphones instead of these phones.

Xiaomi M1804C3DG and M1804C3CG carry the FCC ids 2AFZZ-RMSC3DG and 2AFZZ-RMSC3CG respectively, as per the listing. The listing further reveals that both devices run on an older MIUI 9 and not the latest MIUI 10. It carries support for 4.2 LE and 802.11 b/g/n.
