Sony has scheduled a launch event on August 1 in India for which the company has started the media invites. The company was expected to announce the Sony Xperia XZ2 smartphone for the Indian market but we have received an update that it is not going to be the case. Instead of that, something big is to be announced in the home entertainment segment.
As of now, we don’t have much details about the company is planning to launchbut seems like it might be the home theatre system or somethingaudio segment.
To recall, Sony launched Xperia XZ2 and Xperia XZ2 Compact smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 event. It comes in Liquid Black, Liquid Silver, Deep Green and Ash Pink colours and is priced is prices $799 which is approx Rs 54,980 approx. in the U.S.
For the international market, Sony Xperia XZ2 comes with 4GB of RAM. It features a 5.7-inch Full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating and 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 845 processor. It features an internal storage of 64 GB. The phone also has two front-facing stereo speakers with S-Force Front Surround.
For the camera, the smartphone features a 19-megapixel rear camera that supports 4K HDR video and Super Slow-Motion capture at 960FPS. For the front, the device features a 5-megapixel with f/2.2 Aperture camera for selfies and video chats. It is also the world’s first smartphone with 4K HDR Movie recording and also offers ISO sensitivity 51200 for photos and ISO 12800 for video.
It runs on run on Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and is backed up by 3180mAh battery with wireless charging capabilities. On the connectivity front, the smartphone offers hybrid Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 5, GPS, USB 3.1 Type-C, 3.5mm Audio Jack and NFC. It has an IP65/68 rating for dust and water resistance. There is no 3.5mm audio jack present on the phone. The device measures 153 x 72 x 11.1 mm and weighs 198grams.
