It was earlier reported that Samsung is working on its next flip phone after Samsung W2017 flip phone which was launched last year in November in China. The new clamshell phone is dubbed as Samsung W2018 which was also spotted on TENAA, a Benchmarking website some time back. At the time, the handset was powered by the Snapdragon 821 Chipset and carried 4GB of RAM inside. However, now a Chinese tipster (mmddj_china) on his official twitter handle has revealed some different specifications of the Samsung W2018.
As per the leakster, the Samsung W2018 will be powered by Snapdragon 835 chipset coupled with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. This means that the smartphone will feature octa-core processor and Adreno 540 GPU.
As per the earlier TENAA listing, Samsung W2018 features a 4.2-inch full HD (1920 x 1080p) display and is armed with 2.15GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 821 processor, which is paired with Adreno 308 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under TouchWiz UI and is backed up by a 2300 mAh battery.
