Samsung W2018 flip phone hands on video leaked, to launch on December 1

The flip phone is reported to be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.

Samsung W2018 flip phone leaked in some hands-on images recently revealing the company is working on the successor to last year’s W2017. Now video of the W2018 has also been leaked online, which shows the design of the phone from all angles. Meanwhile, Samsung will be launching its W2018 flip phone for the Chinese market on December 1, according to an alleged leaked marketing copy.

The poster shows some people during the launch of the company’s flip phone line-up so far in the bottom left corner. The poster doesn’t show any image of the W2018, it only shows a question mark at the bottom left of the poster.

The video via The Leaker is in the Chinese language, we couldn’t decode all the information about the device. The video reveals that the device has a metallic design and it has two displays of the same size. It shows the front display and the secondary display of the phone which you can see when you flip open the phone. One can see a touchscreen on the front with company’s logo at the top and there is a physical keypad at the bottom of the phone.You can see the video below

The video also shows the outer part of the phone featuring a set of physical navigation buttons with the speakers at the bottom. The device will not house a 3.5mm jack ad reportedly it will feature a port. On the back panel, there is a camera module along with heart rate and fingerprint Scanner in the rear. It also features a backlit physical keypad.

According to previous rumours, the Samsung SM-W2018 will bear flagship-level specifications. The phone is reported to sport 4.2-inch Full displays with a ppi of 524 and it will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. The flip phone will be backed by a 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It will run on 7.1.1 (Nougat) out of the box with an expected update to Android 8.0 (Oreo) in future.

On the camera front, the phone is reported to bear a 12-megapixel rear camera, while for the front, there could be a 5-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. The phone is expected to be juiced by a 2,300mAh battery and some reports also suggest that it feature an iris scanner. Lastly, just like its predecessor, the flip phone is reported to be only available in the Chinese market.
