Samsung SM-J727 to launch at Sprint, Boost, Virgin as Galaxy J7 Perx

The smartphone is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system.

Samsung is working on its upcoming Galaxy J7 smartphone with model number SM-J727. The device has been already leaked in multiple reports before. As per earlier reports, the Galaxy J7 (2017) smartphone is going to be released by US-based carrier Verizon as the Galaxy J7 V and by Tracfone as the J7 Sky Pro.

Now according to popular twitter leakster Evan Blass @evleaks on his official twitter handle, the smartphone is said to arrive at other carriers like Sprint, Boost and Virgin under the name Galaxy J7 Perx. The handset will also be made available at AT&T and US Cellular, but it’s unclear under what name.

His tweet reads “Samsung SM-J727 arriving at Sprint, Boost, and Virgin as the Galaxy J7 Perx (along w VZW post/pre-paid as just J7 & TracFone as J7 Sky Pro).” Based on his tweet, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) is expected to be announced globally soon, but Samsung is likely to limit the announcement to select countries and carriers, bearing different names.

While the naming of the device at various wireless networks has been revealed but there is no word on the pricing and the launch date of Samsung SM-J727 at any of the carrier at the moment.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 2017 has already received Wifi certification, FCC certification, certification and also spotted on a GeekBench website. Earlier, the smartphone was also found on Indian export import website Zauba as per which the phone has a price tag of Rs 13,686.

As per all these multiple listings, the Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) will feature 5.5 inch full display with 1920 x 1080 resolution. It will be powered by Snapdragon 425 Soc/Samsung Exynos 7870 coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM. The device will be boosted by an 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera. It is also expected to come with 3000 mAh battery and will run on Nougat operating system.
