Samsung has finally rolled out the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade for the Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0 tablet. A user in France has reported to have received the update as of now.
However, the update has been been made available only for devices with just the WiFi connectivity and not the 3G cellular connectivity variants. Other variants of the tablet are expected to get the same in days to come.
Also, the Jelly Bean upgrade has been rolled out exclusively for users of Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0 in France as of now and is expected to be rolled out in other countries in the days to follow.
The WiFi only connectivity variant of the Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0, which is also known as P3110, is available in India and in terms of hardware specifications misses out only on the 3G connectivity and has identical specifications as the Tab 2 3100.
Users in India should check their devices for the upgrade. The upgrade is being rolled out both over the air and via the Samsung Kies desktop software as well.
