It seems that Samsung is gearing up to roll out the latest Android 8.0 Oreo update for its smartphones. The company will reportedly roll out the update to its phones in early 2018.
According to a report by XDA Developers, Android 8.0 Oreo update will be coming to Samsung phones in early 2018. The report further highlights that the company has started working on the pilot model for Android Oreo and it is aiming to release the update at the beginning of the new year.
However, there is no information about which phones will get the Oreo update, but one can expect the latest flagship devices like Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ along with Galaxy Note 8 to get updated first.
Post getting the Oreo update, the smartphones will have picture-in-picture mode that lets users to two tasks simultaneously. So, for example, one can minimise a YouTube video while sending a text message or writing an email.
